Weekly Blog Update [16 June]

   Sorry i'm one day late on this one, I came back home very late last night after a 3 day trip at a beach resort. It was a pretty interesting trip. The reason for all of this was because it was a camp organized by the church. I had to wake up at 5am on friday because we had to leave early to avoid the traffic jam on the road. When I arrived at the church, my parents and I waited for the bus to arrive and mingled with a couple of church-goers. I met up with my friend and talked with her and some other people until the bus arrived. When the bus had arrived and he had boarded onto the bus, we were greeted by a frosty atmosphere. We didn't expect the bus to be filled with mini air conditioners everywhere. Of course, we didn't mind due to the fact that the weather outside was like the surface of Mars.
   The bus ride was about 5 hours long but it felt like such a short period of time. During these 5 hours, we had a couple of breaks and had lunch at a seafood restaurant. The food would have been pretty good if not for the measly portions. When we arrived at the resort, we checked out the place and just relaxed there for a bit. We checked out the beach and then had to go for mass and after that, we had dinner and then went to sleep. The next day, I watched the sun rise with my friend but did not get what we expected. It was very cloudy in the morning and we could not see the sun at all. All we saw was rays of light. I was bitten by a lot of sand flies and a lot of marks were left on my legs and hands. After that, we went to Kuantan to check out the food and the shops there. I bought myself a hat and a pair of sunglasses. Most of the food they had in that area was seafood so it did not catch my eyes. I went swimming and fell sick that night, so I had to sleep early and stuff.
   The next day, I went swimming again with my friend and cousin, we decided to just swim and enjoy the last few hours we had at the resort. After that, we got ready to leave and had lunch. It was definitely a time I would never forget. I owe it all to the company I had along with the huge marks left by the sand flies.
